We want to talk about something that’s become impossible to ignore and honestly, it’s worrying. We’re talking about AI, artificial intelligence.
Just a few days ago, Google introduced its latest creation: VEO3, an image-generation tool that’s supposed to “make content creation easier.” What that means is: you type in a short prompt, and the AI can generate an entire moving image or add whatever you describe to an existing one. It can even create background sound and human voices... in fact, anyone’s voice.
According to Google, users upload around 20 million videos every single day. These AI videos are already so realistic that the average person can hardly tell the difference and soon, it will be impossible to. Right now, these tools are already being used for manipulation by regimes, corporations, scammers, and opportunists.
Don’t get us wrong: we’re not anti-AI. It can be a great tool for human progress. But when it’s used to fake reality, that’s where we draw the line.
And this brings us to the heart of our message: this AI-generated tsunami of content is starting to push out genuine creation, and it’s raising our collective sensory threshold to a point that borders on an epileptic seizure. YouTube’s homepage and social feeds are already filling up with this mass-produced digital junk. It’s getting harder and harder to stand out with something real.
We won’t take part in this AI-made illusion.
